Licensed K-6 teacher in Alabama, but can't seem to find my place yet, so I make do with the skills I have learned from the class room in the kitchen. I work as a cook while I search for my place in the education world. I am also a student working on my masters in education.
I am an avid reader as you can see from the books in my picture. Also, I love Star Wars. I am a total geek and nerd. I love anything to do with space. I also write my own stories. I love NASCAR and SEC football: I have actually been to Talladega and Tuscaloosa.
I love tv shows that make me think so I watch a lot of PBS shows like NOVA and Nature. Criminal Minds, NCIS franchise, and Scorpion are also favorites. I also watch Big Bang Theory. Currently, I am watching Star Trek: Enterprise.
I am a little shy and standoffish at first because I have some trust issues, but once you crack my shell, you have a friend and companion that will do silly things just to crack a grin and fill your head with useless trivia and the occasional nerd joke.
What I am looking for
Someone who is willing to look beyond the genius shell and see the diamond in the rough. My Emotional quotient is a little lower than the normal person, but I can relate to others.
Someone who is patient and understanding. I may say things that come out the wrong way, but I try to make myself understood. I live by the phrase "actions speak louder than words."
Someone who isn't intimidated by an intelligent woman
Someone who can take delight in the simple things and see humor in every day.
Kids are great. I want to be a teacher, so love of kids is a given! I don't mind dating a single parent.
